Mark – love the blog

below my favourite recruitment ad of all time.

placed by Ernest Shackleton before his polar expedition

not as upbeat as the Barrier Reef one, but just as honest and direct!

“MEN WANTED FOR HAZARDOUS JOURNEY. SMALL WAGES,
BITTER COLD, LONG MONTHS OF COMPLETE DARKNESS,
CONSTANT DANGER, SAFE RETURN DOUBTFUL. HONOR AND RECOGNITION IN CASE OF SUCCESS.”

Comment by George Shepherd

That is a classic right enough.

The above ad has been a phenomenal success. It’s really a Trojan Horse as it’s actually an ad for the Queensland Tourism Authority and was done deliberately to drive publicity. It has, in shed loads.
