Oh man, I love this instagram by Rob and Joe, whom I don’t know; but they are summed up thus…
Rob and Joe are more than a team.
Rob and Joe are nothing if not a team.
Rob and Joe are not afraid of the dark.
Rob and Joe did not exist before April 2012.
Rob and Joe are a spiritual experience.
There will be no sequel to Rob and Joe.
Rob and Joe contain all religions.
Rob and Joe are brutal and tender.
Rob and Joe are learning to swim.
Rob and Joe have lovingly crafted this instagram of great beauty and much cleverness. I even worked at one of the agencies featured in it – The Leith Agency. (Shame 1576 never made it to the numbers blob)
A mega enjoy for all you advertising geeks like me out there. Thanks to John Appleton for sending it to me.
This looks remarkably similar to the work of Pop Chart Lab out of Brooklyn: a book editor and graphic designer whose aim is to classify everything in the world: http://popchartlab.com/
I guess, but it’s still about the application of the idea. Very little in this world is completely new.
The idea: great, I love taxonomies – been around for ever, well at least since 3000BC
The application: brilliant, not seen a taxonomy of agency names before
The execution: puts the ‘plague’ in plagiarism and does for design what the Bootleg Beetles do for music
oh don’t be so bloody churlish.
Churlish? C’mon man, it’s blatant theft. If I’d nicked your finely crafted ad copy you’d be well pissed but it’s OK to ‘borrow’ design is it? See you Friday and we’ll settle it like real men – Design vs. Advertising – see who wins
The lorry car park at Penrith Services. No guns.
who needs guns – I’ll have righteousness on my side.
Righteousness or stubbornness?
